IHRO (International Human Rights Organization) West Africa is an international human rights organization active in West Africa. Our mission is to promote, protect and defend the fundamental rights of all individuals in the West African region. We operate in 16 countries in the region through awareness programs, human rights education, legal assistance and advocacy.

Our mission is to defend human dignity, equality and justice for all. We work for:

• The promotion and protection of human rights
• Access to justice for all
• Human rights education
• Support for victims of rights violations
• Advocacy for public policies favorable to human rights

To become a member of IHRO West Africa, you can:

1. Fill out the online application form on our Apply page
2. Contact our secretariat by phone or email
3. Visit one of our national offices

We have different membership categories: Active Member, Associate Member, Benefactor Member, Lifetime Member and Student Member.

The conditions vary depending on the membership category:

• Active Member: Pay annual dues and participate in activities
• Student Member: Be enrolled in a higher education institution
• Lifetime Member: Pay a lump sum
• Benefactor Member: Provide significant financial support

You can support our work in several ways:

• Online via our Donate page
• By bank transfer
• By cash deposit at our offices
• In kind (materials, supplies)

All donations are tax deductible according to current legislation.

Your donations directly fund our programs in the field:

• Programmes d'éducation aux droits humains
• Assistance juridique aux victimes
• Sensibilisation des communautés
• Formation des acteurs de la société civile
• Actions de plaidoyer

Nous fournissons des rapports financiers annuels transparents sur l'utilisation des fonds.
